Privacy Policy

In short

• This site does not use cookies, does not track visitors and does not show ads.
• What you type into the registration and contact forms is not stored on the site’s server. The form prepares your details in your email app; you send the email yourself.
• To avoid replaying the home page opening animation during the same visit, a small marker is saved in your browser’s session storage. It is deleted when you close the browser and is never sent to us.
• The map on the Getting Here page is loaded from OpenStreetMap. When the map loads, your browser connects to OpenStreetMap’s servers.
• Tournament and news photos are loaded from Google Drive. When the photos load, your browser connects to Google’s servers.
• The server that hosts the site may keep standard access logs (IP address, date, page visited) for security purposes.

Processing of personal data (KVKK information notice)

Under Türkiye’s Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK), the data controller is İstanbul Ice Hockey League.

Data processed. On the registration form: full name, year of birth, phone number, email address, team and player details; for players under 18, the name and phone number of a parent or guardian. On the contact form: full name, email address and your message.

Purpose. To review registration applications, organize the league and tournaments, and communicate with you.

Legal basis and method. Data is collected electronically, through the email you send, on the legal grounds set out in Article 5 of the KVKK.

Transfers. Your information is not shared with third parties.

Retention. Data is kept for as long as the organization continues and for the period required by legal obligations, and is then deleted.

Your rights

Under Article 11 of the KVKK, you have the right to:

• learn whether your personal data is processed and, if so, request information about it;
• learn the purpose of the processing and whether the data is used for that purpose;
• know the third parties in Türkiye or abroad to whom the data is transferred;
• ask for the data to be corrected if it is incomplete or inaccurate;
• ask for the data to be erased or destroyed under the conditions set out in the KVKK;
• ask for corrections and erasures to be notified to the third parties to whom the data was transferred;
• object to an outcome against you that results solely from automated analysis;
• claim compensation if you suffer damage because the data was processed unlawfully.
